Integración juvenil, más allá de las barreras lingüísticas
El portal de Juventud integra a Latinoamérica con el Caribe
El 5 de Junio de 2007 UNESCO y CELAJU lanzaron el YOUTH PORTAL http://www.youthlac.org en la versión inglesa para integrar a los 22 países y territorios de la región del Caribe y para globalizar esta herramienta de comunicación de los jóvenes.
Los coordinadores del Portal han escogido esta fecha como un homenaje al Día Mundial del Medio Ambiente, recordando además que son los jóvenes, las generaciones presentes las principales responsables del futuro del planeta.
El Portal está dirigido a todo público, pero especialmente a aquellas redes, organizaciones y grupos de jóvenes y de quienes trabajan con jóvenes existentes en América Latina. El Portal, es un sitio en Internet, una red de redes de organizaciones de jóvenes y que trabajan con jóvenes, públicas y privadas, nacionales e internacionales, en todas las temáticas vinculadas a la cuestión juvenil en América Latina y el Caribe. La construcción de estas redes realzará la sustentabilidad del Sitio Web, puesto que se alimentará por el flujo de información proporcionado por las redes existentes.
El Portal de Juventud http://www.joveneslac.org fue inaugurado el 12 de agosto de 2005 Día Internacional de la Juventud y ya a logrado 800.000 visitas, demostrando que se trata de una herramienta de gran utilidad y que está llenando un evidente vacío en estos dominios. Las evaluaciones realizadas confirman esta visión y alientan a seguir adelante.
Ofrecemos las páginas del Portal para difundir sus actividades, documentos y convocatorias.
El Portal cuenta con el auspicio de las siguientes Redes: Red INFOYOUTH, Alianza Latinoamericana y del Caribe de ACJs/YMCAs y la Red Latinoamericana de Juventudes Rurales (RELAJUR).

Youth integration. Breaking down language barriers
Youth Portal has built a bridge to join Latin America and the Caribbean.
This June 5th, 2007 is the launching date for the UNESCO and CELAJU Youth Portal for Latin America and the Caribbean http://www.youthlac.org (English version) to integrate the 22 countries and territories of the Caribbean region and globalize this tool for youth communication.
The coordination team chose this date to celebrate World Environment Day to emphasize the young people, present generations, hold the planet’s future in their hands.
This Website is for the general public, but especially for youth networks, organizations and groups, and people working with youth in Latin America and the Caribbean. The Website is an Internet meeting-place, a network of networks of youth organizations and people working with youth, public and private, national and international, in all subject areas dealing with youth issues in Latin America and the Caribbean. Building these networks will enhance the Website’s sustainability, since it will be nourished by the flow of information provided by existing networks.
The “Portal de Juventud” Website http://www.joveneslac.org was inaugurated on 12 August 2005, International Youth Day, and has already been visited 800,000 times, and is being viewed as an extremely useful tool that is filling what until so recently was clearly a knowledge gap. Assessments have confirmed this vision and encouraged us to carry on.
